Note on how to deal with File not found error (404) in the action “Get file contents” of SharePoint Online connector in Power Automate.
File Not Found error when using “Get File Contents”
File Not Found in Power Automate’s Get “File Contents” action.
In the file specified directly on the Power Automate action,
Of course, the file itself exists, so I don’t know what caused it.
Cause: Because I did not have permissions to that document library.
Upon further investigation, it turned out that the document library where this file was located had been set up with individual permissions, and the user running Power Automate had not been set up with permissions to that document library.
So, grant the execute user permission to this document library,
Running Power Automate was successful.
So, please note that “Get File Contents” for a document library to which you do not have authorization will for some reason generate a File not found error.
